The Faculty of Social Sciences UCM in Trnava has excellent technical equipment and facilities that bring students comfort during their studies. Students can use a library, a multimedia classroom, a large or small auditorium, a laboratory for marketing and communication research in public administration, a multimedia conference room, meeting rooms and special classrooms.

THREE DEPARTMENTS OF THE FACULTY

The Faculty of Social Sciences UCM in Trnava has three departments which, in addition to providing the educational process, develop scientific research activities in which they participate in solving domestic and foreign projects in cooperation with other scientific and professional institutions. Of course, you can be part of this process.

STUDY AND TRAVEL

Applicants can choose from a wide range of accredited full-time and part-time undergraduate study programs. The Faculty of Social Sciences participates in the Erasmus + exchange program and cooperates with more than 40 universities in Europe. The faculty cooperates with international organizations such as ESN, AISEC.

PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

You will gain knowledge and understanding of political science, sociology, law and economics. You will learn how to communicate and orientate yourself in the field of public policy and public administration and how to contribute to improving the perception of the results of actors in this field. You will learn the principles of state administration management, management of internal communication in public administration institutions, the agenda of the management process of national and international projects.

SOCIAL SERVICES AND COUNSELING

Students can work in practice as highly qualified social experts in social services facilities, as managers in private and public sector institutions, social and health insurance companies, central state administration bodies, local governments, but also international institutions. They can become experienced professionals who the market needs.

EUROPEAN STUDIES AND POLITICS

You will acquire skills for independent and team analytical work with an emphasis on methodological knowledge and skills which can be used in political management and consultancy, in local, regional, national and European politics, in state administration and self-government, in EU structures, in non-profit organizations, in the media, in education and in scientific research.

FEES (FOR PART TIME STUDENTS)

Tuition fees in part time study programs:
Bc.: 700 € / year,
– Mgr .: 850 € / year,
– PhD.: 1200 € / year (The length of the study is four years)
Rigorous procedure fee: € 500

EXEMPTION FROM FEES

The following are exempt from the admission fee:

a) participants in FSS UCM promo activities,
b) the first three students placed in the regional round of secondary school competitions,
c) the first three placed students of the Slovak Olympiads, organized by Ministry of Education, the Information Office of the European Parliament in Slovakia , or others.

The Faculty of Social Sciences provides students with a wide range of opportunities to combine theoretical knowledge with practice. It offers various options for presenting the results of research projects to students, doctoral students or teachers. It organizes a number of professional events in which students actively participate. Faculty students live a rich student life. Every year, they can take part in several interesting cultural, sports and professional events, which take place not only at our faculty, but also within the university or in the city. Students can participate in foreign mobility (Erasmus +). It is worth to remind you that the city of Trnava is called the city of students.

Complete study

At our faculty you will find a complete study accredited in all three levels. So you can start with a bachelor’s degree and end up with a doctor of science.

We have a modern building, modern equipment and thanks to that you will feel like at a foreign university.

Theory and practice

We are fully aware that theory without practice has no justification. That is why you will find foreign teachers here, the possibility of internships in ministries or traveling around the world.
